Key Trading Insights

Key Theme Key Insight Reference
Theme Power “50% of a stock’s move is related to its industry group. A stock that looks good but no other stocks in the group look good is more likely to fail.” Jul 11 – Group dynamics

Volume Dry-ups Low relative volume during sideways action is a huge tell of accumulation. Sort watchlist by lowest relative volume daily to spot opportunities. Jul 8

Red Days Reality “The strongest uptrends are made up of at least 50% red days.” Focus on weekly charts to capture large moves without getting shaken out. Jul 8 – Position management

Healthy Rotation Market rotation is the lifeblood of a bull market. When tech rests, banking/energy/construction step up. Not ‘running for the exit’ distribution, just money rotating. Jul 10 – Market analysis

Liquidity Filters My scan criteria: Avg vol > 200K and Avg $ vol > $3M. These filters ensure tradeable, liquid positions. Jul 11

Trade Activity

Ticker Note
SOUN Bought Jul 7 on morning weakness. Sold ¼ Jul 8 after 25% one-day gain to “sit easier.” Treating like QUBT – taking small profits to hold core for larger move. Entry → Trim →
UPWK Bought Jul 7 at $13.45 (stop $13).”The r/r is just too good to pass up. It will either work or fail very fast.” Stopped out Jul 11.

Current Holdings

Current Positions Screenshot
Ticker Status
SMCI 10-week MA rising toward entry price, making position essentially risk-free. Light volume on pullbacks shows no real selling pressure. View update →
SOUN Weak close for the week, but still fine. Stops at even now for the remaining 3/4 of position. If market comes under more pressure will hit. This is a hard name to time, so the buy made on weakness gives the best chance to not get shaken out.

Looking Ahead

Solar Theme Developing: SEDG confirmed character change, pulling back on 0.34 relative volume. Theme slowly building strength. View analysis →
Semiconductors Theme: ALAB, CRDO, NVDA showing coordinated strength. Have missed NVDA. If we see a pullback it will be a focus to buy.
Leaders Resting: Extended names deserve multi-week consolidation. Watch for breakdowns but expect sideways action. Fresh opportunities emerging in rotation.
Quantum Names: Down on extremely light volume – “no real sellers.” Continue monitoring. These names are very volatile, but they are coming down to areas where risk/reward will start to make sense again.
Weekend Focus: “Step 1 identify theme, step 2 identify 1 or 2 stocks in that theme that deserve our focus.” Looking for clear early group strength.
